Object description
In the inner-city area, a single-story retail market from the 1980s had to be demolished before construction could begin. The demolition materials were sorted according to hazardous material classes and disposed of accordingly. The reusable crushed material is being used as subgrade material.
The new two-story building utilizes 95% of the available plot and features customer parking (70 spaces) and two truck delivery areas for the retail market on the ground floor. Customers access the upper floor via elevators or moving walkways. The upper floor offers a well-organized retail space of approximately 1,750 m², including a bakery shop with seating areas, storage, and preparation areas, ensuring optimal layout and functionality.
The facade is clad with North German solid brick and features large display windows, approximately 4.50 x 1.20 meters, on both the ground and upper floors. The roof is equipped with raised cooling and ventilation systems and has extensive green roofing.
