Object description
The stadium was constructed by BREMER in a span of eleven months. The entire grandstand structure was built using precast reinforced concrete elements from the BREMER precast concrete plant. Approximately 1,200 precast elements were manufactured according to custom-designed plans and structural specifications. The roof structure consists of a steel construction with free-spanning lattice girders and a double-layer trapezoidal sheet metal roofing.
In the western part of the stadium, there is a three-story building that houses the offices of SC Paderborn 07, team facilities, and a gastronomic area. The playing field is equipped with the latest Bundesliga standards, including an under-pitch heating system, an irrigation system, and roll-out turf.
BREMER carried out the architectural and detail planning as well as all engineering services for the project.
Special features
The SC Paderborn 07 football stadium, with 15,000 seats and standing places, was constructed according to the regulations of the football associations DFB, DFL, and FIFA. All stands are fully covered, and the exterior walls are enclosed, a construction method that is unique among German football arenas.
In 2020, the stadium was expanded to include an upper tier. Simultaneously, a third floor was added to the main building. This expansion created 320 new VIP seats and 5 new luxury boxes. These enhancements were carried out by our "Building in Existing Structures" department.
The final expansion took place in 2023, adding a continuous upper tier with approximately 2,150 seats, complete with catering stands and restrooms. In the exterior area, six new stairwells and two elevators were constructed to accommodate the increased capacity.
