Object description

For DFI Real Estate, BREMER Süd successfully delivered a modern distribution centre in Kandel. Built on a site of approximately 30,000 square metres on Industriestraße, the forward-looking logistics facility provides a total gross floor area of around 17,500 square metres. The project was completed on schedule in the first quarter of 2026.

The building was specifically designed to meet the demands of high-performance fresh food logistics. In addition to extensive warehouse space, the development incorporates modern office accommodation and mezzanine areas. At the heart of the project is a comprehensive energy concept focused on efficiency and the responsible use of resources.

A key feature is the rooftop photovoltaic system with a capacity of approximately two megawatts, contributing significantly to the facility’s on-site energy supply. Through a tenant electricity model, the solar power generated can be utilised directly by occupants. Further sustainability measures include green roofs and façades, a landscaped acoustic barrier, and a dedicated ecological buffer zone for flora and fauna, ensuring the development is harmoniously integrated into its surroundings. DFI Real Estate is aiming to achieve DGNB Gold certification (Version 2023) for the project.

With the successful completion of this development, BREMER Süd once again demonstrates its expertise in delivering sustainable and future-ready logistics facilities.
