Object description
For FREMATO at its Essen-Karnap site, BREMER Süd GmbH delivered a comprehensive construction project that combined new construction, expansion, and refurbishment works within existing buildings into a cohesive and highly functional overall concept. The objective was to future-proof the existing workshop and office facilities and adapt them to growing operational requirements while maintaining ongoing operations and taking the existing structures into account.
As part of the project, a new workshop hall with integrated office and sanitary facilities was constructed. In addition, an existing workshop hall was expanded, and several existing buildings, including an office building, underwent extensive refurbishment and modernization. The project also included the renovation and reorganization of the external areas, optimizing operational workflows and traffic routes throughout the site.
BREMER Süd provided the project on a turnkey basis, including the coordination of all works within the existing facilities. A particular challenge was the combination of new construction and refurbishment activities, as well as the successful execution of the project within a comparatively tight construction schedule running from November 2024 to May 2026.
