Object description

BREMER Berlin-Brandenburg has constructed a turnkey parcel handling facility in Potsdam for the project developer AURELIS. The modern logistics property is utilized by the parcel service provider GLS.

The logistics center is composed of a total of 559 precast concrete elements and is divided into three hall sections: two distribution halls and a loading head. Additionally, there is a social annex and a multi-story office building.

The halls feature a total of 171 exterior doors. The entire building is heated through underfloor heating, with the necessary heating energy supplied by the district heating system of the Potsdam public utilities.

The expansive exterior areas are designed to ensure smooth operation of incoming and outgoing traffic in a three-shift system. The parking lots and the building are connected by a pedestrian bridge, so employees do not have to cross the traffic lanes.

To minimize noise emissions, the logistics center is partially surrounded by an eleven-meter-high noise barrier.

The building will receive the Gold certification from the DGNB e.V. (German Sustainable Building Council).
