Object description
For the Volunteer Fire Department of the City of Rüthen, BREMER has completed a new fire station in the district of Meiste. The generously designed new building offers 600 m² of usable space, accommodating three parking bays for large vehicles, changing and social rooms, a large training room, and ample storage space on the mezzanine level.
As the general contractor, BREMER erected the shell of the building using precast reinforced concrete elements in approximately four weeks. Following this, BREMER commissioned and coordinated the interior construction of the fire station through local tradespeople. The exterior area is designed so that the entrance can be safely accessed in case of an alarm, ensuring that incoming personnel and outgoing fire trucks do not intersect.
The fire station was handed over as a turnkey project after just seven months of construction.
Special features
The fire station meets all specific requirements of the fire department and accident insurance providers. The planning adhered to the current DIN 14092 standard, ensuring that all requirements regarding passage widths and other specifications are met. Additionally, the station is equipped with an exhaust extraction system connected to the parked fire trucks, which extracts fumes when the engines are started.
