Object description
On behalf of Sanacorp, Germany’s oldest pharmaceutical wholesaler, BREMER Süd is constructing a new state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Offenburg as an extension to the existing logistics centre. The project is being developed on a site of approximately 11,000 m² and comprises a precast concrete building with a footprint of around 3,300 m² and a gross floor area of approximately 1,200 m².
The warehouse, which is being built while operations remain fully active, includes a mezzanine level, office space, an upgraded staff welfare area and extensive external works. The new facility will accommodate goods receiving, inventory management functions and a high-bay refrigerated storage area. A particular feature of the project is the fibre-reinforced concrete floor slab incorporating synthetic fibres.
To ensure efficient operations, the building will be equipped with two space-saving lifting doors and three vertically opening high-speed roller doors. The development also includes a new transformer substation as well as additional parking facilities for 18 cars and 16 bicycles. The building will feature both roof and façade greening, with the façade constructed using insulated sandwich panels. The new facility complies with the requirements of Germany’s Building Energy Act (GEG).
Construction commenced in May 2025. Handover by BREMER is scheduled for early 2026, while overall project completion by Sanacorp is planned for spring 2027.
